Naturopathic Nutritional Therapy
Naturopathic nutrition seeks to uncover and support the cause of illness, rather than just treating the symptoms (as conventional medicine often does). This involves looking at the individual as a whole; their relationship with food (cravings, nutritional requirements), their health history and work & lifestyle choices in order to best support them. Many people find that a small change can bring about health benefits.
There isn’t a one size fits all solution. More and more people are realizing that what you eat can affect your short as well as long-term health.
Our body requires certain nutrients in order to perform a mind boggling number of daily functions. It’s truly amazing! Nutritional Therapy aims to maintain or restore optimal health, relieving ill health or combating disease through dietary and lifestyle change.

My own journey
I ended up in a Colombian hospital whilst travelling. But a year on I still suffered severe bloating, constipation, diarrhoea, and pain. Despite trying the regular medical route nothing seemed to work and I realised something had to change to improve my quality of life and happiness. I enrolled on a course at CNM Bristol and studied for three years, learning about nutrition and transforming my health. I realised I had been abusing my body since my teens (by what I was and wasn’t putting in it!) I became aware I had spent most of my life suffering with stomach issues or bouts of fatigue. I started to support my body, realising that it is a series of inter-connected systems and that when one system is functioning below par, others can be affected and work harder to maintain balance.
I am so much happier now knowing that I am being kinder to my body and supporting it. I eat healthier, feel healthier, am more energised and certainly don’t suffer from gut issues any longer. I also recognise stress more and have coping mechanisms in place to support my mental well-being.
My course felt like a light bulb moment! The prospect of being able to support others in their journey back to optimal health is very exciting (although it isn’t always a quick fix!). So get in touch with me today to see how I can help you.
